Ways to Donate
The American Red Cross is about people mobilizing to help their neighbors - down the street, across the country, and around the world. Together we provide relief to those affected by disasters, collect and supply blood for those in need, and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. Your donations also help the Red Cross support military families.
The best way to support the Red Cross is through donations of money, blood, and time.
Donate Blood
The average adult has 12 pints of blood - we only need one! There is no substitute for human blood. Please make sure you donate blood regularly, every 56 days if possible. Many lives depend on it.
Donate Money
We are working on a web-based donation system. In the meantime, you can donate to your Red Cross Chapter through the following mechanisms:
- For donations by credit card, call the Orange County NC Chapter office at 919-942-4862, ext 221.
- For donations by check, mail your check to the Orange County, NC Chapter at 101 Ephesus Church Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27517. Please note on the memo line that this is a donation for local use.
You will receive a letter from the Orange County NC Chapter acknowledging your gift for tax purposes.
